A new limited edition color, "Olive," is joining our Caddis shoulder bag, crafted from water-repellent canvas and leather.

The Caddis shoulder bag was created by Munekawa's production staff through their hobby of fly fishing, aiming for "a bag that is convenient for both fishing and everyday use."
True to its concept, this item is highly versatile, perfect for anything from city use to outdoor adventures.
Today's blog will introduce the features of Caddis and the charm of the new Olive color.

Introducing the new limited edition color "Olive"
For this production, in addition to the standard colors beige and black, we have created a limited edition color, "Olive."

The design of the Caddis is based on hunting and fishing bags that have been popular in the UK for a long time.
Colors that blend into nature, like olive, are a great match for these bags, which were originally used as outdoor equipment.
While being a classic outdoor color, it has been finished in a calm tone that is sophisticated and not overly rugged.

It blends in perfectly with casual styles, as well as with a more polished look when worn with a jacket. This color is versatile for a wide range of outfits, regardless of the season.
Features of Caddis
Material
The main material is water-repellent #9 cotton canvas combined with Italian leather (Maremma).
The rustic texture of the canvas and the oil-rich Italian leather combine to provide a deep, aged look that improves with use.

The canvas is impregnated with a special paraffin resin to make it water repellent. You can carry it to work or for outdoor activities without worrying about the weather.
The fabric is tightly woven and durable, so it can withstand some rough handling, as spills and dirt can simply be wiped off.
Storage
Another feature of Caddis is its surprisingly large storage capacity.

The front pocket has a gusseted construction, making it easy to access items even with its depth. There's no need to worry about valuables like wallets or keys falling out.

The internal back pocket can hold A4 files or a 13-inch laptop, and items can be slid in and out from the side, making it safe for delicate devices. It's also very useful as a work bag.
Munekawa's production staff who actually use Caddis also love it, saying "it holds a lot more than it looks," and they've been using it for a long time.

Details
Details such as the D-rings and eyelets on the sides allow for attaching small items, clearly demonstrating thoughtful design for actual fishing and camping use.

All metal fittings are made of brass. The choice of materials ensures functionality while maintaining a classic aesthetic. Since canvas, leather, and brass all change in appearance with use, this bag is designed to be a long-lasting companion, allowing you to enjoy its aging process.
